Volunteering in the Community Through Gardening, Designing & Teaching
When time has permitted, we've used our garden design talents to benefit the area school systems in our communities. We've loved getting involved with the children, parents and staff. Teaching our children to love the earth and care for it is a passion we share. If we all do our part, our world can be a cleaner, greener and healthier place to live.

For the school years 2009 thru 2011,
I volunteered to Chair the Grounds Committee at Rea View Elementary School, in Union County, NC. We had a fabulous supportive School Administration and PTO Board, along with many, many wonderful parent volunteers. We composted, mulched, weeded, pruned, planted, trimmed and cared for our school grounds. This was truly a work of love for our school and a gift we knew would give back for years to come.
